A Russian plane, containing tons of aid landed at Qamishli airport in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah province, on Monday.
Th delivery is a part of ongoing humanitarian aid commitments to Syria.
The plane reportedly contained 3.5 tons of flour, 2.5 tons of rice and half a ton of sugar, as well as 146 packages containing stationery.
Local charities and social service organisations are said to be managing the distribution of aid in Qamishli and are to be assigned according to specific criteria.
