North Korean official have described US President Donald Trump as “reprehensible” and the kind of a person who “only knows to respond by force” amid the ever escalating war of words between Washington and Pyongyang.

Trump shocked the world this week by sending a provocative message to the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, saying his country will “face fire and fury in a way the world has never known before.”

Pyongyang responded by saying it will likely carry out a missile strike against the US military base in the Pacific island of Guam.

“No dialogue is possible with such person, because he is reprehensible and only seems to understand the language of brute force,” General Kim Rak Gyom was quoted saying by the North Korea’s Central News Agency (KCNA) on Thursday morning.

The North Korean general said that Pyongyang plans to launch the “Hwasong 12” ballistic missile which will fly over Japan and hit the targets in the waters about 30 to 40 kilometers off the coast of the American-held territory of the island of Guam.

“The Korean People’s Army (KPA)’s action will be an effective way to curb the frantic movements of the United States in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and the surrounding areas”, Kim Rak Yom said.

He also said the plan would end in mid-August and that the KPA would then wait for further orders from the “commander-in-chief of nuclear power” in North Korea.
