The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority have issued flight suspensions to the Kurdistan region to begin on Friday following Monday’s unconstitutional independence referendum.
Airlines have responded to the issue by cancelling their flights to the region, particular to the city of Erbil.
Flight arrangements have been made to redirect from the Kurdistan area to the airports in Baghdad and Najaf.
Yesterday, the federal government issued warnings that it would suspend all flights to the Kurdish region following Monday’s referendum.
