Prominent Saudi cleric assassinated in Syria’s jihadist-held Idlib province

September 15, 2017 – Fort Russ News – Paul Antonopoulos

A Saudi preacher and judge for Al-Nusra has been assassinated in the jihadist-held province of Idlib in Syria’s northwest.

The preacher has been identified as “Saraqah al-Makki” and was assassinated outside a mosque after his Friday sermon.

It is not immediately clear who is responsible for his death, but it comes as rival terrorist groups battle each other in the province after the resignation of fellow Saudi Abdullah Al Muhaysini, a notorious cleric and a chief figure in Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham terrorist group.

Meanwhile, Abu Muhammad al-Shar’i of the Nasserah Front, was also assassinated in Idlib province by unidentified gunmen, as reported by Fort Russ News two days ago.
