The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that 85 percent of the territory of Syria has been liberated from militants – what remains is 27 thousand square kilometers that have not been cleared. Such data was given by the chief of staff of the grouping of Russian troops in Syria, Lieutenant-General Alexander Lapin.
“The operation to destroy the militants of the terrorist groups ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra will continue until their complete and guaranteed destruction.”
Meanwhile, more than 80 Syrian families have left the refugee camp near Damascus today. People are slowly returning to peaceful life in the territories liberated from militants, however, many civilians still remain in such refugee centers.
