Syrian Army today continued its operations to secure the perimeter of Deir Ezzor Airport and the Army Regiment 137, in conjunction with series of strikes, aimed at eliminating the last gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.

According to the field reports, the Syrian Army managed to establish control over Al Thardeh Mountain and carried out several precise strikes, targeting movements and positions of ISIS terrorists in the villages of Al Jneineh, Al Maryaiyeh, and Al Baghiliyeh, killing and injuring scores of the terrorists.

Meanwhile, local sources from the province’s western countryside said that more ISIS terrorists have fled the area in the past few hours, including Abdelrahman Okla Al Aref, the so-called “agriculture minister”, and Okla Al Aref, one of the key “Islamic police” leaders.
