Syrian Forces expand control east and west of Deir Ez Zour

Units of the Syrian Army, operating in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour made new gains on Thursday, after taking control over new areas in the western and eastern countrysides of Deir Ez Zour city within the scope of their wide-scale military operations, aimed at uprooting ISIS in Deir Ez Zour province for good.

According to the field reports, army units regained control over Damen battalion, located southwest of Deir Ez Zour Airport, as well as the first water pumping station in Al Mrai’eyeh.

In addition, Syrian Air Force and artillery units carried out series of intense strikes, targeting ISIS positions and movements in the villages of Ayyash, Al Jneineh, Howeijet Saqer, Al Mrai’eyeh and Al Husseinyeh, located in the countryside of Deir Ez Zour province, during which scores of the terrorists were killed.
