Russian Air Force has annihilated at least 32 terrorists, five field commanders including, in the northwestern Syrian province of Idleb, and who were responsible for an earlier attack on positions of the Russian military police in the province of Hama, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, General Igor Konashenkov, said that five field commanders and 32 fighters from the terrorist group Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) were killed by an air strike that took place south of the Syrian city of Idleb.

He added that the Russian Air Force launched a precise air strike on the building where a meeting of Al Nusra’s field commanders was being held at the time. As a result of the strike, five field commanders and 32 fighters were eliminated.

Konashenkov explained that the attack was a retribution for the earlier terror attack that took place on September 18th at the Russian military police checkpoint in the countryside of Hama province.

“Since then, we were actively searching for those who were responsible, and eventually became aware of the location where the meeting of the leaders of the terror group Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) will take place.

The Russian strike also resulted in destruction of an ammunition depot and a warehouse full of explosives, as well as six armored vehicles.

The Russian General revealed the names of the dead terrorists leader as Abu Salman Saudi (President of the southern sector of the Idleb province), Abu Abbas Alaa Eddin (Banking Emir), Abu Hassan (Adviser to the military leader of the group Abu Mohammed Al Joulani), Walid Mustafa (personal assistant of the notorious Saudi religious judge Abdullah Al Muhaysini) and Abu Mujahid (top Sharia judge).
