The Ukrainian Armed Forces together with the Ukrainian special services forcibly recruit residents of Schastye and Luganskaya Stanitsa who visit the LDP.

“It is established that in the villages of Schastye and Luganskaya Stanitsa, through intimidation and blackmail, SBU officers, in cooperation with the servicemen of the 14th Brigade of the Armed Forces, are recruiting residents who are able to move to the territory of the LPR,”said Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, the spokesman for the People’s Militia.

According to him, local residents are forced to collect information about the whereabouts of our positions, numbers, forces, and the resources  of the People’s Militia.

“Such methods are a grave violation not only of the legislation of Ukraine, but also a direct violation of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Convention of 12 August 1949, adopted in Geneva on 8 June 1977,” the lieutenant colonel recalled.

During the week in the LNR also reported that employees of the Ukrainian special services have stepped up the recruitment of residents of the Luhansk People’s Republic, crossing the line of contact in the Donbass. On September 22, the OSCE declared an aggravation on the contact line in the LNR.

In the LPR the work on ontercepting and capture of saboteurs and Ukrainian spies is constantly being conducted. in July, Donich, Ukrainian saboteur detained by the Lugansk MGB on suspicion of preparing terrorist attacks confessed. Donich said that he was recruited by the special services of Ukraine and was given the task to lay an explosive device in the Friendship hotel complex, specifically in the sauna “Camelot.” By means of this explosion, the Ukrainian secret services wanted to liquidate foreigners, but Donich did not complete the task.

In the same month, a soldier of the People’s Militia of LPR was killed, and five more people were injured in an explosion in the center of Lugansk.
