Despite Syrian Army liberated the ISIS capital of Mayadeen earlier today, the operations in Deir Ez Zour province are still far from over.

On Saturday, army units carried out several operations against ISIS terrorists, stationed on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, taking control of a number of strategic points in direction of the village of Al Husseiniyeh, in an attempt to completely surround the terrorists lurking in the neighborhoods of Deir Ez Zour city.

The Syrian Air Force carried out series of intense strikes that resulted in destruction of ISIS gatherings and supply routes in the towns of Mohsin and Qari and in the villages of Buqrus Fouqani, Al Bouleil, Al Husseniyeh, Al Jneiniyeh, Al Juaiyeh, Al Aayan, Al Aridi, and in Deir Ez Zour city’s neighbourhoods of Al Hamidiyeh, Al Huweiqah and Sheikh Yassin.

Due to the Syrian Army’s rapid advancements, ISIS terrorists are putting more and more pressure on civilians.

They are frequently using them as human shields, in addition to preventing them from leaving the area, as well as targeting humanitarian corridors set by the Syrian Army.
