Expel this shit: Serbian politician calls for expelling the Ukrainian ambassador

“So-called diplomats that allow themselves undiplomatic attacks against Serbia and Russia do not belong in Serbia.” This statement was made by the leader of the Serbian Radical Party Vojislav Sheshel, calling on the government to declare the Ukrainian Ambassador persona non grata of for his anti-Russian and anti-Serb remarks. This is reported by the publication Danas.

“We just have to expel him from the territory of Serbia and pronto. It’s time to show other ambassadors that their behavior towards Serbia can not go on forever, “he said.

“I can understand why the Serbian government is afraid of a ram, US Ambassador Kyle Scott, who has horns — a symbol of strength and heavy weapons, but why is Serbia afraid of such shit as the Ukrainian ambassador Alexander Alexandrovych?” the politician asked.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Serbia threatened to expel the Ukrainian ambassador for anti-Russian and anti-Serb remarks.

Let us recall also that earlier the Ukrainian Ambassador to Serbia Alexandrovich stated that Belgrade is not making sufficient efforts to prevent its citizens from participating in the conflict in Ukraine on the side of the people’s republics of Donbass.*

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine requested data from Serbia on the volunteers fighting in Donbass. However, this request was ignored by the Serbian authorities. Later, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Klimkin called for a prophylactic switch of the ambassador in Serbia after sharp criticism against him by official Belgrade.

According to Stevan Gayich, a researcher at the Institute for European Studies (Belgrade), the Ukrainian Ambassador “should be happy that only got a warning rather than an expulsion.”
