Free trade agreement close to being signed between China and the Eurasian Economic Union

MOSCOW, Russia – The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is close to signing an agreement on the establishment of a free trade zone with China, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said in an interview with Rossiya24 TV channel.

“We are ready to sign an agreement with China, negotiations with Iran are coming to an end, and we hope that negotiations with Singapore will be concluded in the near future,” he said.
The Treaty aiming for the establishment of the EAEU was signed on 29 May 2014 by the leaders of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia and is economic in nature.
