The head of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Igor Plotnitsky, made an official statement about the situation

in the capital of the Lugansk Peoples Republic. According to him, the arrival of armed people in the city center is connected with the dismissal of Igor Kornet, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Today, in the center of Lugansk, residents of the city could see a large number of people in military uniform who claim to be participating in these exercises on the orders of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR.
This situation is a continuation of yesterday’s personnel changes in the lawful removal of the Minister of the Interior from his post. Today’s events have proved once again that the decision was rightly taken. Attempts by certain structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to challenge the decision of the court, and the petition of the People’s Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic on issues of state security and defense, the work of law enforcement agencies and the judiciary, the rule of law, the protection of human and citizen’s rights and freedoms have passed all the limits of the permissible,” — from the statement on the official website of the head of the LC.
The report also notes that the investigation is currently under way, but in another case and with other defendants.
“There are no grounds for arresting Anastasia Shurkaeva, Irina Teizman and Yevgeny Seliverstov, and the appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of the LPR did not give instructions of this kind,” said Plotnitsky.
“For my part, I want to assure you that the situation is under the control of the leadership of the Lugansk People’s Republic and will be completely resolved in the near future.” Attempts of people acting under the influence of the illegitimate leadership of the Internal Affairs Ministry of the LPR are aimed primarily at creating social tension in the cities of the Lugansk People’s Republic and stem from the personnel changes that occurred on November 20 in accordance with the legislation of the Lugansk People’s Republic.”
