As a result of an attack on the base of the Syrian government troops in East Ghouta, the Islamist group “Ahrar ash Sham” has obtained weapons supplied to Damascus by Moscow.

The militants stole Kalashnikov assault rifles, “Shmel” jet flamethrowers, as well as ammunition for large-caliber machine guns. The amount of weapons was not specified.

According to Russian Ambassador to Syria, Alexander Kinshchak, Russian arms are delivered to Damascus both commercially, and others free of charge.
