DAMASCUS, Syria. At least 26 people were killed and nine left wounded after Saudi jets raided the civilian area in Sahar District, located in the northern Yemeni province of Saada, on Wednesday morning.

According to local sources, Saudi jets targeted a hotel and several shops in Al Layal bazaar.

A rescue team has already been dispatched to the scene where it continues to look for survivors and pull the victims from the rubble.

The sources said the number of casualties is expected to rise, noting that the injured were taken to a public hospital in Sa’dah amid severe lack of resources and medical supplies.

Due to increased military losses against the Houthi rebels, the Saudi-led coalition is increasing its pressure on the starving Yemeni civilians.
