DAMASCUS, Syria. At least 90 members of the Erdogan regime-backed terrorist groups operating in the northern countryside of Aleppo province have reportedly defected in the past few days and have since arrived in the town of Manbij, located in the northern countryside of the province.

Currently, the town is under occupation of the US-backed and Kurdish led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The defected terrorists were previously playing their part as the assets of the Erdogan regime’s Operation Euphrates Shield.

The latter stands as an official name of the illegal Turkish military intervention in northern Syria that was first launched on August 24th 2016.

Although the purpose of the intervention allegedly is to prevent Syria from falling into the hands of ISIS and the Kurdish separatists, the only visible consequence so far is an increasing number of terrorist activities in northern Syria.
