DAMASCUS, Syria. The Syrian Army has repelled a fierce attack launched by Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) terrorists against its positions in the vicinity of Marijab Al Ghamlan village, located northeast of the village of Shakusia in the northeastern countryside of Hama province.

According to the field reports, a great number of terrorists got killed in the process, in addition to destruction of their armored vehicles, pointing out that the army’s operations are still ongoing.

This comes right after the Syrian Army restored control over the villages of Harran and Hardana, located northwest of strategic village of Arafa in the northeastern countryside of the province.

For the past few hours, army units were involved in an intense operation in the villages of Qasr Ali and Arafa, located northeast of the provincial capital, and which resulted in elimination of scores of the terrorists and the restoration of control both villages.

Engineering units dismantled several explosive devices and booby traps left over by terrorists in residential and and agricultural areas in order to prevent the Syrian Forces from progressing.

The achievements come less than 48 hours after the Syrian Army restored control over the villages of Hazem and Rabdah.
