Investigation shows that in 2006 Pavel Sharoiko was the head of the intelligence press service and held this post until at least 2009.

Earlier, the Minsk correspondent of “Ukrainian Radio” Pavel Sharoiko was detained on suspicion of espionage. The head of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Sergei Tomilenko, appealed to the Foreign Ministry and the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine with a call to join forces to attract independent qualified lawyers to defend Mr. Sharoiko.
