DEIR EZZOR, Syria – 10 civilians were killed in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor on Saturday when the US-led coalition carried out airstrikes on a village and an ambulance vehicle was hit by a shell.
This has become an all to common occurrence in Syria with some other instances being civilians killed in attacks on Hasakah and Deir Ezzor provinces as well as in the embattled city of Raqqa before it was captured by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.
The coalition often denies allegations of targeting civilians, however, it admitted in August that at least 624 civilians had been killed by the alliance’s strikes since the start of the operation to eradicate ISIS, Sputnik reported.
US officials are yet to make an announcement on the latest atrocity against Syrian citizens.
