KABUL, Afghanistan – Afghan families forced to flee their homes due to fresh fighting between the Taliban and ISIS terrorists spoke on Monday of their dire living conditions.
More than 200 families from the Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province caught between the crossfire of the two warring sides.
They are now living in makeshift tents in the desert with winter fast approaching.
The Taliban have been the dominant jihadist group in Afghanistan for decades, however ISIS entered the scene in January 2015 and have battled with the Taliban ever since.
