During the series of questions on the situation in Ukraine at the annual live Q&A press conference, the President of Russia was asked about his attitude towards Mikhail Saakashvili, the ex-president of Georgia and ex-governor of the Odessa region, who in recent months has been trying to organize a new Maydan in Kiev and stands for impeachment of Poroshenko.

In the opinion of Vladimir Putin, what Saakashvili is doing, “is a spit in the face of the Georgian and Ukrainian people.”

“How did you tolerate this until now?” he asked Ukrainian journalists who attended the press conference. “He is the same person who was the president of Georgia, and now he is running around Kiev square and shouting to the whole world: “I’m Ukrainian!”

“You do not have real Ukrainians in in charge Ukraine, and Ukraine suffers because of this, so it’s a pity to see – my heart bleeds,” Putin admitted.
