CHISINAU, Moldova – The number of Moldovan nationals in favor of unification with Russia is about 11% more than those who seek unification with Romania, suggests An opinion poll published by the Moldovan Institute for Public Policy on Friday found that Moldovans would prefer a unification with Russia, than with Romania.

33% of Moldovans would vote to join with Russia, with 21.8% supporting unification with Romania, a difference of 11.2%.
The poll found that 56.2% of Moldovans are against unification with Romania.
40% of participants were against unification with Russia.
1,113 people participated in the poll between November 18 and December 5 and the margin of error is a maximum of only 2.9%.
Moldovans are ethnically Romanian and speak the same language.
