Outflow of population from Russia is replaced by migrants

Russia is in the top five countries with the largest number of migrants.

The UN estimated that 11.7 million migrants live in Russia, which puts in in fourth place globaly.

According to the report of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, most of the migrants live in the US, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Germany.

Leading the list is the United States, where 49.8 million immigrants live. In second and third place are Saudi Arabia and Germany with around 12.2 million migrants. 

At the same time, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there may be an additional 2.6 million illegal migrants in Russia, and some estimates claim up to 8 million.

Fewer native people leave the Russian Federation than from India or Mexico, but Russia occupies the third place in the list of countries where migrants come from.
