Russian officers can return to the Joint Control and Coordination Center of the ceasefire in Donbass, said the spokesman for the president, Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov reminded of the conversation held yesterday by Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

According to the spokesman, the president spoke about Moscow’s readiness to think about returning to the Center, if Kiev stops “provocative actions” against the Russian military and will allow them to work.

On Tuesday, Russian representatives left the Donbass as part of the Joint Control and Coordination Center. Moscow explained this step by the fact that Kiev prevented Russian observers from fulfilling their duties, making their further work impossible.

The shelling from the Ukrainian side escalated soon thereafter.
