The head of the SBU: Ukrainian nationalists do not suspect about their work for the Kremlin

Ukrainian radicals and Nazis may not even suspect that Russia is using them to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. This according to the head of the SBU Sergey Gritsak.

“If Russian special services try to use SBU officers, high-ranking officials as agents, not only to obtain information, but also to influence the processes that are taking place in Ukraine, they can also use national-patriotic forces.
“Unfortunately, this is true, and many of those who are in these organizations do not know who, in fact, is standing behind the scenes of this activity,” he said.

According to Gritsak, it is extremely difficult to determine which of the Nazis works for Moscow, and who does not.

“And this is the work of the SBU: not just  to isolate by counterintelligence, but also to start an operative investigation, obtain appropriate court rulings and carefully check information on the possible involvement in the activities of foreign special services or activities to the detriment of the interests of the Ukrainian state. It’s hard,” he concluded.

Yesterday Gritsak said that Russian special services recruited 90% of Ukrainian illegal migrant workers, who work in Russia by the millions.

In early 2017, the Ukrainian battalion commander and Verkhovna Rada deputy Semyon Semenchenko claimed the majority of Ukrainian politicians are agents of the Kremlin. According to him, “Ukraine is being given over to ‘the effective control’ of Russia.”

In December, the head of the Main Investigation Department of the SBU Vitaly Mayakov said that one of the lieutenant colonels of the Ukrainian counterintelligence service is suspected of working for the Kremlin.

Earlier an representative of Ukrainian militants accused the SBU of working for Moscow: The representative, Berlinskaya, an associate of the Ukrainian militants fighting against the peaceful inhabitants of Donbass, said that scouts for Russia are also at work in the ranks of Ukrainian special services.
