JERUSALEM, Palestine – Israeli security forces clashed with Palestinians outside of the Tower of David in Jerusalem after Friday prayers.
Clashes have continued to trouble the area since US President Donald Trump decided to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Footage shows an Israeli police officer landing a punch on an elderly woman after being struck in the face.

This provoked fury from the crowd, who began remonstrating with police and chanting pro-Palestine slogans.
Last Wednesday, Trump broke with decades of US diplomatic practice in the Middle East by formally recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The announcement was met with outrage from the Arab world, with some leaders calling for a third ‘intifada’.
The status of the Holy City is seen as a key issue in the Israel-Palestine peace process.
