MOSUL, Iraq – On the eve of Christmas, church bells have rung out again at Saint Paul’s Church in Mosul for the first time in three years, after the city was liberated from ISIS.
There were about 100 attendants.
Both Christians and Muslims attended a special service in the Church to mark the birth of Jesus.
“Our faith and our hope was to be here to evangelise on our earth and in our town,” Father Thabet Habib told The Telegraph. “This pushed us to come here and to celebrate the mass and to tell all the world that we are here as Christians.”
