SANA’A, Yemen – The Yemeni capital of Sana’a was brought to a standstill on Thursday by a memorial service for dead Houth fighters in Al-Sabeen square.
The memorial service was led by Houthi officials who paraded the bodies of fallen ‘martyrs’ in coffins and funeral hearses.
The Houthis engaged with former president Ali Abdullah Saleh’s militia after the latter tried to remove the Houthis from Sana’a and recnocile with Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia since March 2015 has with its coalition of jets destroyed important Yemeni infrastructure including schools and hospitals.
