Belarussian tourists fined for sporting St. George ribbon

The deputy of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional council from the party “Volia” Andrey Mariychin and his friends from the military – “made tourists from Belarus respect Ukraine” who came with a St. George ribbon on their car. 

“Belarusian tourists attached the St. George ribbon to the windshield of the car and, at the request of Andrei Mariychin, refused to take it off. There were three men and two women in the car. The Ukrainian activist took the number plate and called the police, as well as veterans of “ATO”.

Before the police came,  twenty former ATO fighters arrived, “so that the Belarusians will remember for a long time what symbols can’t be used here.”- noted the Ukrainian patriot. 

The Judge of the town Court, Andrei Ivanov, after listening to the police and witnesses, decided on the maximum penalty for the Belarusians – 2550 hryvnia. ($90 USD)
