This week, DJ Moby has sat down with the local radio in Kentucky called WFPK and shared a strange story about CIA agents contacting him to help spread information about Donald Trump’s alleged relationship with Russian officials.
Apparently, Moby had developed personal friendships with active and former CIA agents over the course of his career. In the interview, he said they wanted help spreading the word about Trump’s secret dealings with Russia. Specifically, they wanted Moby to use his large social media audience to help promote the information.
“They were like, ‘This is the Manchurian Candidate, [Putin] has a Russian agent as the President of the United States,'” he says. “So they passed on some information to me and they said, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that … sort of put it out there.'”
If you look back at Moby’s social media posts, one thing becomes starkly obvious.
The level of propaganda being posted reads like they were written by an analytically-challenged binge-watcher of CNN, who supports military interventions abroad. The CIA must really have been desperate – alternatively, Moby’s posts are probably tailored specifically to people who require musicians and entertainment figures to inform them about politics.
