Iraqi soldiers arrive at Tuz Khurmato to fight Kurdish Islamist group allied to ISIS – VIDEO

TUZ KHURMATO, Iraq – Iraqi forces have arrived at the city of Tuz Khurmato in the country’s north to take on a Kurdish Islamist group allied to ISIS called the “White Flags.

Units of the Rapid Response Division arrived at the city and prior to entering the region, the Iraqi Security Forces collected intelligence regarding the White Flags threat coming from the mountains east of the city after repeated mortar attacks, according to Al-Sura News. 

A video was uploaded yesterday by soldiers from the Rapid Response Division in relation to the operation to defeat the White Flags.

It was also specifically noted that Brigade 11 of the Popular Mobilization Forces (also known as Greater Ali Brigade) would be participating in the upcoming operation as part of a joint force which also involves Brigades 16 and 52 of the Northern Axis, Al-Sura News explained.
