DEIR EZZOR, Syria – ISIS has released an infographic image through their affiliated Amaq News Agency which gives all the figures in one month of fighting against Kurdish-led forces in eastern Syria.

The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) lead the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) who have been battling the ISIS terrorist groups in and around the towns of Kharanij and Al-Bahra on the eastern shores of the Euphrates river in the eastern desert province of Deir Ezzor.

The Infograph refers to the SDF/YPG as the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) as the YPG is the Syrian branch of the Turkey-based PKK.

The infograph reveals that ISIS has killed or wounded at least 377 SDF fighters, including three commanders and killing 40 snipers. In addition they have captured 11 SDF fighters. The infograph also reveals they have conducted seven raids while carrying out 10 SVBIED suicide attacks. At least 10 SDF military vehicles have also been destroyed.

This demonstrates that despite being smashed and severely reduced in 2017, ISIS are still a capable and powerful fighting force.
