Jihadist forces release prisoners as Syrian Army continues smashing terrorist positions in Idlib

January 5, 2018 – Fort Russ News – Paul Antonopoulos

IDLIB, Syria – An undisclosed number of prisoners have been released from Central Idlib Prison as part of a general amnesty.

The amnesty was granted by the so-called Justice Ministry of the “Salvation Government”.

The so-called Salvation Army is is led by the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front, who are also the dominant opposition/jihadist group in Idlib province.

Idlib province was overrun in early 2015 by terrorist forces after a coalition of opposition groups, mostly jihadists, mobilized in Turkey and then attacked government positions.

It is not known what the conditions of the amnesty is, but it can be assumed that many of them will have to fight against the Syrian Army as they continue to liberate town after town in the jihadist-held provinces southern countryside.
