Kurdish forces still using child soldiers to fight ISIS – one killed in Deir Ezzor

DEIR EZZOR, Syria – Despite officials of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) announcing that they no longer use child soldiers, a child soldier has depressingly been killed fighting ISIS in eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor.

Mohamed Ali Al-Waradi, seen above, was killed recently inside Kharanij town.

The YPG, and the broader umbrella group of the Syrian Democratic Forces, have been engaged in intense battles with ISIS in this part of Syria, as their comrades are battling Turkish-led forces in the northwest canton of Afrin.

The only force who has not, and will not use child soldiers, is the Syrian Army. The YPG and all jihadist groups have deployed children to the front lines or to be used as suicide bomber.
