IDLIB, Syria – Despite some advancements made on a different front along the Idlib axis (southern Idlib countryside-northern Hama countryside-southern Aleppo countryside), the Syrian Army has liberated all the sites in yellow boxes seen in the above image, yesterday.
This was a massive collapse of jihadists forces who mostly retreated before they were engulfed by oncoming Syrian Army soldiers.
It has also meant that there is only 2km separating two different fronts of the Syrian Army, effectively meaning that a new pocket of trapped jihadists will be created soon.
The Syrian Army operation has brought well over one hundred settlements back under the control of the Syrian government, according to Al-Masdar News.
The Syrian Army, led by the elite Tiger Forces, are currently into their third week of liberating the jihadist-held province of Idlib in Syria’s northwest. The main anti-government group operating in this province is the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front.
