Citizens of Ukraine are actively moving for both temporary and permanent residence in the Russian Federation.
This trend is reported by the president of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Alexander Okhrimenko.
He points out that in 9 months of 2017, 211,000 Ukrainian citizens received permission for temporary residence in Russia, 135,000 Ukrainian citizens for permanent residence. At the same time, 62,000 received Russian citizenship.
For the same period in 2016, a temporary residence permit was granted to 237,000, 99,000 Ukrainian citizens for permanent residence, and 75,000 Ukrainians received Russian passports.
“By the way, over the 9 months of 2017 – the share of Ukrainians who received Russian citizenship was 33% of the total number of people who received it. The mass exodus process has been launched,” Okhrimenko sums up.
