IDLIB, Syria – Terrorist forces in the northwestern jihadist-held province of Idlib have found no respite from pro-government forces.
As the Syrian Army continues steamrolling the southern countryside of Idlib province, the Russian air force has continued the pressure during the nights by launching a barrage of attacks.
The airstrikes that occurred overnight was a continuation of the Syrian Army’s massive advancements during the day.
This tactic is to ensure that jihadist forces find no respite or time to recover, inflicting severe psychological damage.
Russia began its air campaign in Syria in September 2015 at the invitation of the Syrian government. Since then, jihadist forces have been on the decline.
The airstrikes came just hours before Turkey begged Russia and Iran to stop Syria from smashing their jihadist-proxies in Idlib. Full details can be read here.
