Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has criticized EU policy in relation to Russia. Orban believes that it is necessary to demonstrate a readiness to cooperate with Russia, while European politics is too one-sided.

Orban emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin made his country strong, but the EU seem not to want to understand this.

At the same time, the politician mentioned that it is now customary to criticize the Russian authorities to be considered a “good European” – while risky to praise anything to do with Russia.
