At the Kiev international airport “Boryspol”, a barman not only refused to communicate with a visitor in Ukrainian, but also “dared” to defend his position on this matter. The professor of medicine from Ternopol Igor Gospodarsky wrote of this on his social media.

“Jan. 7. Night. International airport “Boryspol”. Cafe “Cup”. A barman boy, about 25 years old, takes my order for tea, espresso, water and a variety of croissants. The barman, for the third time (!) persistently answers in Russian.” – he wrote.

The outraged Ukrainian professor asked “the impudent smiling youngster,” whether he knows the Ukrainian language, but in response he heard that the barman prefers to communicate in Russian.

“I’m comfortable in Russian … In general, you are too Ukrainized!” said the barman to the shocked resident of Ternopil.

“To be frank, I was simply dumbfounded from rudeness!” – wrote the Ukrainian activist.

As a result of the publicity of the incident, the management of the cafe apologized to the client and reported that the “wrong” worker had already been dismissed.

Igor Gospodarsky, as is customary in modern Ukraine, wrote  the entire Russian part of the dialogue intentionally with errors, distorting the words.

Ukrainian patriots, apparently, believe that in this way they emphasize the defectiveness of Russian-speaking residents of the country.
