Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko hopes that in 2018 “serious” investors will come to Ukraine and the country will continue to develop.

“In 2018, the country will continue to develop confidently. Serious investors will come to Ukraine. In the united territorial communities, more and more generous fruits of decentralization will be reaped. “- Poroshenko wrote.

He also stated that in 2018 “Ukrainians will see more repaired roads and new weapons for the army.” Ukraine can afford to use a fifth of the military budget for armament and military equipment, while the estimate of the armed forces of Ukraine has increased by another 25% and amounts to 86 billion hryvnia.

“For four years we have been combining reforms with defensive efforts to protect the country against Russian aggression. So let the words peace and development unite us in 2018 – for this we need not the internal struggle of all against all, but the consolidation of the efforts of the authorities, civil society, international partners. And this is the only possible way for a successful Ukraine.”- added Poroshenko.
