AFRIN, Syria – Turkish-backed proxies and their Turkish military have continued their march against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and captured another two towns in northern Syria.

This comes as earlier today they captured Shinjel, the first town to be taken from the YPG in this offensive to clear the entirety of Afrin canton in northern Syria from Kurdish forces. Full details of the capture of Shinjel can be found here.

The two towns captured by the Turkish military and its Syrian proxies are Adhamanli and Bali Kawi in the Rajo district of Afrin.

This brings a bad day even worse when considering that earlier today, a powerful ally of the YPG defected to Turkish-led forces. Details can be read here.
