WAIT, WHAT?! Kurdish forces choose to stand alone, then blames Russia for the Turkish invasion of Afrin

AFRIN, Syria – Yesterday the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed all Russian forces had withdrawn from the Kurdish-controlled canton of Afrin in northern Syria.
“The Command of the Russian force grouping in Syria took security measures for Russian servicemen who were in the Afrin Canton, where the Turkish Armed Forces started a “special operation” against the Kurdish formations,” it said on Twitter.

However, an official Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) militia statement blamed Russia for the Turkish invasion of Afrin that began moments ago (full details can be read here).
“We hold Russia as responsible as Turkey and stress that Russia is the crime partner of Turkey in massacring the civilians in the region,” the statement said.
However, the YPG had every opportunity to coordinate with Russia but chose to side with the US. The YPG decided to partner with the US, and its interesting to note that they did not denounce the US once in their statement.
Afrin had every opportunity to reintegrate into the Syrian state, a prospect they declined at every moment, and chose to stand alone. It therefore makes it hilarious that they choose to blame Russia for the predicament that they put themselves into it.
