AFRIN, Syria – People injured in reported Turkish airstrikes were rushed to a local hospital in the northwestern Syrian canton of Afrin on Tuesday.
Eyewitnesses spoke of the air raids, with one saying “there were many raids. There were many wounded.”
On Saturday, Turkish war planes started to bomb Kurdish positions in Afrin shortly after the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the start of a military operation named ‘Olive Branch.
In response to the aggression from not only Turkish-led forces, but also ISIS, that the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) face, their forces have decided to kidnap four Syrian military personnel in Qamishli. Full details can be read here.
