The Parliament of Ukraine will consider a resolution that seeks to repeal the law on the reintegration of Donbass. This was reported by Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrei Parubiy.
On January 18, the Rada passed a law on the reintegration of the Donbass, which is yet to be signed by the president of Ukraine. Deputies of the “Opposition Bloc” registered a resolution to repeal this law. According to the procedure, the Speaker of the Parliament can not transfer the law to the President for signing, until the Rada considers the appeal.

The bill is highly controversial as it grants the President of Ukraine the use of the military, without having to consult parliament nor having to declare a state of war. It refers to Russia as the “aggressor country” .
