IDLIB, Syria – The Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) “Repel the Invaders” Operation Room has announced that are engaging with ISIS in heavy battles on the Idlib axis (southern Idlib countryside-northern Hama countryside) in northwest Syria.
They announced that they are smashing ISIS positions with heavy artillery as they attempt to penetrate into the interior of Idlib province as they are being chased away by the Syrian Army.
This comes as earlier today ISIS broke through Syrian Army positions to reach a front with jihadists, including the FSA, operating in Idlib. Details of this can be read here.
With ISIS under intense pressure from the Syrian Army and jihadists like the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front, it is expected the terrorist organization will be completely vanquished from this part of Syria within 48 hours.
