FSA launches offensive against ISIS on the unrecognized border with Israel

YARMOUK BASIN, Syria – The Free Syrian Army (FSA) yesterday morning launched an operation against the ISIS-affiliated Jaysh Khaled Ibn Waleed group who control a small pocket on the unrecognized border with Israel.

In support of the FSA offensive against ISIS, Israel has provided artillery and air support.

Despite this support, the FSA are yet to make any gains against ISIS.

Israel currently occupies the Golan Heights that belongs to Syria, and it is from here that they support the FSA against ISIS.
