DEIR EZZOR, Syria – The notorious leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi is “alive and hiding” in northeastern Syria according to Iraq’s intelligence and counterterrorism department head Abu Ali al-Basri.
According to Basri, Baghdadi is in the Jazira region in the eastern desert province of Deir Ezzor in an area near the Iraqi border.

Basri cited “irrefutable information and documents from sources within the terrorist organisation.”
If this is proven to be true, it is likely that if he is not killed in battle, then he will most likely be captured at some point this year.
