IDLIB, Syria – An ISIS foreign fighter has described his difficult ordeal when local ISIS fighters abandoned the foreigners.
This particular elder member surrendered to the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front in southern Idlib countryside in northwest Syria.
He describes in broken Arabic, in what appears to be a Turkish accent, how the local ISIS fighters abandoned the foreigners with only small arms and fled away with their vehicles.
The locals told the foreigners when abandoning them that “Bashar (Syrian Army) is there, go there and fight,” before fleeing.
ISIS has totally capitulated in this part of Syria in the past few days.
