DONETSK. Representatives of the OSCE special monitoring mission (SMM) in their daily report indicated the use of the Grad rocket launcher, as well as large-caliber artillery and mortars in the Svetlodorsk area by Ukrainian armed formations. This was reported by the official representative of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk Peoples Republic Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko.

He noted that the “speaking helmet” of Kiev Dmitro Tymchuk [a military and political journalist – tr] stated that the People’s Militia of the LPR allegedly was transferring heavy weapons, GRAD in particular, to the contact line near Debaltsevo.

Marochko noted that this information is another lie of “Ukrainian politicians.”

“All the equipment of the People’s Militia of the LPR, unlike that of the AFU, is in its place,” Marachko said.

“I want to note that the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (CMM) records not only the existence of prohibited weapons of AFU at the contact line, but also its use. In their daily report, SMM representatives recorded the use of BM-21 Grad rocket launchers in the evening on February 7, as well as the use of heavy artillery and mortars near the settlement of Svetlodorsk,” he said.

Some background:
Recall, in December last year it was reported that LNR Intelligence also found Ukrainian MLRS “Grad” in Lisichansk. It should be noted that at the end of last year, representatives of the Supreme Council of the Donetsk Peoples Republic also announced the use of Grad missile system by Ukrainian militants. In February, the Donetsk Defense ministry announced that a spring blitzkrieg was being readied by Kiev.
