PHOTOS: Single Kurdish YPG attack kills at least 5 Turkish soldiers in Syria’s Afrin

AFRIN, Syria – The Turkish Army has announced that five Turkish soldiers were killed in a destroyed tank yesterday.
Kurdish sources however has put the death toll eight Turkish soldiers.
The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) attacked a Turkish tank with a missile, destroying the tank and killing many soldiers.

This comes as the Turkish military and their Syrian militant proxies attempt to remove the YPG from Afrin canton in northwest of Syria in an operation dubbed “Olive Branch” that was launched on January 20. Turkey recognizes the YPG as a terrorist organization.
